Putting together the sandwich for the Copycat Arbys Beef & Cheddars recipe

Lucky for all of us, making an Arby’s Roast Beef Sandwich at home is super easy and is more than just the beef and bun. Let me take you through how to replicate this classic sandwich in your own kitchen. Making these sandwiches at home is so easy. You know I love me some beef recipes! Cooking with beef is just a comfort thing for me.

Yes, you can go out and buy one for not a lot of money, but sometimes it’s fun to do things just because you can. The greatest thing about learning how to make food at home is that you don’t have to eat so much fast food and spend a bunch of money on dinner or time going to pick it up.

Assembling the sandwich for the Copycat Arbys Beef & Cheddars recipe

I hope you’re all having an amazing summer. Things are busy over here. We had a wonderful weekend full of warm summer nights at the local town carnival and other fun summer activities. I love summer and love the heat.

I find that after lightly toasting the buns, the whole sandwich can be assembled and then thrown in the microwave for 8-10 seconds to warm it through. This quick step warms the bun and modifies the sandwich’s texture to perfectly resemble what you would expect to be served in a fast food joint like Arby’s.

You don’t want to heat the roast beef in the microwave initially because it will unevenly warm it through. Have you ever tried to do this? The roast beef gets really hard around the edges and just….eww. Whatever you do, don’t do this. Make sure you add lots of sauce to your sandwiches. If it’s not dripping all over your lap and staining your pants as you’re eating it, you’re not adding enough.

  • If you don’t like onion buns you can use whatever hamburger style bun you prefer, sesame seed buns are also a great choice.
  • You can add bacon to make their famous Bacon, Beef & Cheddars.

Don’t forget the seasoned curly fries. I like to use frozen Arby curly fries bought from Walmart. Cook them in the oven or in an air fryer and they are the perfect companion to your faux Arbys sandwich. Thank me later.
