Strawberries and Cream Blended Drink
This is my version of the Starbucks Coffee Strawberries & Creme Frappuccino. This Strawberries and Cream Blended Drink is what originally got me hooked on Starbucks!
If you have been following this blog for a while, you know that Mr. Wishes and I lived in Miami for six months back in 2012. I used to walk past a Starbucks every single day after lunch as it was on the way back to the hotel. I didn’t know another soul down there at the time and Mr. Wishes was working long hours so I would “accidentally stumble” into Starbucks sometimes to use their Wifi and kill a little bit of time. This was before I ever gave coffee drinks a chance (I hated coffee!) and would order the Strawberries and Cream Frappuccino more often that I’d like to admit. This was before I ever gave a second thought to fat and calories I was consuming and didn’t even think about it that I was basically drinking a giant fatty milkshake on a daily basis. I was addicted. I had made it my mission to recreate it at home.
Now, I am not someone to lie and claim “this tastes EXACTLY like the drink you order at Starbucks!!!” It doesn’t taste exactly like it and I won’t claim that it does. It is, however, a close and delicious version. It’s close enough to satisfy my cravings and that’s all that matters.
If you are a fan of strawberries, you will love this Strawberries and Cream Blended Drink. Make it at home now and save some yourself some cash! Oh, and if you love actual coffee at Starbucks and not just the “milkshakes” you will love this Caramel Macchiato Cheesecake! Enjoy…
- 1 cup Milk
- ⅔ cup Vanilla Ice Cream (I use Perry's)
- 1 to 1 and ¼ cup Ice (start with one and check consistency)
- 5 Strawberries
- 4 tbsp Strawberry Syrup
- Whipped Cream, for topping
- Put all the ingredients(except for whipped cream) in blender and blend/process until smooth.
- Pour into serving glasses and top with whipped cream
Dear Ashley, this drink makes me feel like a kid again! Sounds so good. I think I’m going to teat myself to one of these over the weekend. xo, Catherine
I love anything strawberries and cream. And I’d be with you at the coffee store – I’m not a coffee drinker either so would probably order the same drink that you did! 🙂
Wow, what a fun drink! This looks totally delish — great flavors, and I bet the texture is so creamy. Good stuff — thanks.
I am so glad I don’t walk by a Starbucks – I would be broke! I would much rather sip on this cup of deliciousness!
I didn’t know you were in Miami for 6 mths! I visited and fell in love would love to go back! This looks like that best copycat of Starbucks!
I used to work right by a starbucks and it was dangerousssss. haha for my wallet that is! Love this! I never tried their strawberry frappucino but it sounds fantastic!
Wow this really looks inviting. Wasn’t that dangerous going into Starbucks so often? Do I dare try this for fear I’ll be hooked. Thanks for sharing, I think!
I’ve never had Starbucks version but yours looks amazing! Perfect and refreshing for the summer!
Did you live in the hotel for all 6 months? That sounds tough! And I didn’t know that they have drinks like this at Starbuck’s! I don’t drink coffee so I’ve never gone. I know they have pastries but I also know that they’re not cheap. 😉 I’ll totally have to try this!
Yes we lived in a hotel for six months! It was great in some ways but not so great in other ways. I missed my kitchen!!
Such a lovely summertime drink! It would be perfect for this afternoon when our temperature will reach 98 degrees. Whew!
Don’t you just love recreating your favorite foods from various places. Kuddos!
ooo the Strawberries and Cream Frappuccino is the first drink I loved from Starbucks! I use to get them all the time when I was younger! Love your homemade version!
I wish I could sip on this beauty right now!
My husband loves strawberry milk – I bet he’d love these even more!
I love this Starbucks drink and I also like the fact that you used cleaner ingredients! Must try this one!
My younger son loves the Strawberries & Cream Frappuccino at Starbucks, but they get so expensive (and sugary!) He and I are going to have to give this recipe a try.
Ashley, this looks phenomenal.Alas! as much as I love this sort of thing, I have to watch the carbs.Maybe I can cheat with a short one. Otherwise, it’s powdered stevia, cream and strawberries for me occasionally.
(Have you ever had the Strawberry Creme Slush at Sonic? Like a liquid strawberry shortcake!)
