Strawberry Cake Mix Dip + VIDEO!
Strawberry Cake Mix Dip is one of the first dessert dip recipes I fell in love with as a child and I can never get enough of it. All you need is three simple ingredients and it’s perfect for Valentine’s Day!
The strawberry cream cheese really is the secret and key ingredient here. I love strawberry recipes! Strawberry cream cheese adds just enough extra flavor that it doesn’t overpower the dip and it complements the dip so nicely. And the very best part? It uses just three ingredients. Boo-yah.
Make sure you keep these simple recipe ingredients on hand so you can whip Strawberry Cake Mix Dip out anytime you want it! That may prove to be the hardest part of this whole recipe! Like most of you, I’m a busy mom who doesn’t have an entire afternoon free to make super complicated recipes. There’s literally nothing easier than buying three things (plus dippers) at the store, whipping them together and serving with a platter of fruit or cookies.
Like most dessert dips, this Strawberry Cake Mix Dip recipe is best made the day that you plan on eating it or the day after. I usually like to mix it up in the morning or early afternoon and then serve it in the afternoon or evening at the event I made it for. Sometimes I’ll mix it up the night before and store it in the fridge overnight, very tightly covered.
It tends to be even better the next day, actually. Unfortunately, this Strawberry Cake Mix Dip doesn’t keep very well in the fridge for many days because of the cool whip. The dip will kind of “flatten” out after 24 hours of not being consumed. You can easily fluff it back up and give it a quick whip to make it like new again. I have never had leftovers of this dip as it usually gets devoured just as fast as I make it!
Either way, this Strawberry Cake Mix Dip is pure heaven and I constantly have guests over here licking their bowls clean in order to not miss out on a single drop of it. I can practically guarantee you that someone with great taste will be hunting you down to ask for the recipe before the day is over.
You could also serve this yummy dip with pretzels, Nilla Wafers, graham crackers, and more! This fruit dip recipe turns out best if you let the cream cheese soften slightly before blending it with the cool whip.
Let it rest on the counter for 10 to 15 minutes, then mix it in with the rest of the ingredients. So simple, so fresh, and so tasty!
