Why I love Christmas
I just wanted to share with you all why I love Christmas and what it means to me!
I’m comprising this post in honor of the first day of my favorite month. All of a sudden, December is upon us and my beloved Christmas season is here! I’m sure you would agree this is not exactly a surprising sentiment coming from someone who has chosen to count down the days ever since it was beautiful and 80 degrees out back in July. But, nevertheless, I will say again… I LOVE Christmas.
It only takes listening to one holiday song or looking at one Thomas Kinkade Christmas painting for the warm, fuzzy Christmas feelings to instigate. I know, I’m a nerd! It gives me such a good feeling and I would give anything for that special feeling to last all year long.
I look forward to the day so much….but it’s actually the season, the days leading up to Christmas day, that I cherish most of all. I love the excitement of decorating and all the Christmas baking….and the anticipation of waiting for “Santa” to arrive. I love the benevolent hearts of people who are more generous and more forgiving during this time of year. I love the brilliance of the lights and the twinkle in the children’s eyes (myself being the biggest kid of all). I love the merriment of all the holiday festivities. Did I mention I love Christmas?
SO, give me a shout-out (leave a comment) all you fellow Christmas fans. You have seen now why I love Christmas and I want to know how you feel about it! Also, stay tuned for yummy holiday recipes making their way in to my blog very, very soon.
