Crock Pot Chili Queso Dip
Crock Pot Chili Queso Dip recipe tastes just like Chili’s restaurant queso dip and will be the star appetizer at any holiday gathering and your Super Bowl party!
Happy week before Super Bowl! I don’t want to sound like a broken record, but let’s be honest, this day is ALL about the food. If you want the favorite appetizer of the party you attend (or throw) then look no further than this Crock Pot Chili Queso Dip.
I like to say this is kind of a copycat Chili’s Queso but I did switch it up a little to my liking and made it in the slow cooker. This dip tastes like the delicious queso dips you order at a Mexican restaurant, only better (in my opinion). I could not stop eating this stuff and may have even made a meal out of it one or two times. Cheese dips have my heart!
Here is a link to the rest of my cheesy dip collection in case you didn’t get your fill with this Crock Pot Chili Queso Dip. If dessert dips are more your thing, you might want to try this Crock Pot S’mores Fondue – your friends will love this one!
I also have a post of strictly Super Bowl dips that you really should take a look at. It’s only right. That might even be my favorite post of all time.
You absolutely have to serve this with scoops or fritos to maximize the amount of cheese/chip ratio. You don’t really have to, but you definitely should. It will help you to scoop up a ton of that gooey, melted cheese with each bite.
The best part about this Crock Pot Chili Queso Dip is that it takes just five minutes to throw together and stays warm in the crock pot for as long as you want it to! Use a small 2 quart crock pot unless you are doubling or tripling (quadrupling?) the recipe in which case you would want to use a larger one. Enjoy and happy Super Bowl snacking!
- Cut Velveeta cheese block into cubes to help it melt more evenly.
- Add all ingredients (except the chips) to a 2 quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 2.5 hours or on high for 1.5 hour. Stir occasionally to make sure the cheese isn't clumping.
- Stir one last time so that everything comes together. Keep on the WARM setting when it comes time to serve and keep warm throughout your party. Continuing to cook on low or high will cause cheese to burn to sides of slow cooker.
- Serve with tortilla chips or Fritos.
