Banana Split Milkshake
Cool down this summer with your favorite ice cream treat made into a Banana Split Milkshake!
Ice cream season is upon us! I’m a little bit too excited about this. I just had this discussion with Mr. Wishes last week in which I admitted that I can, as of recently, take it or leave it when it comes to most desserts and can exercise will power……. with the exception of ice cream. Ice cream is the one dessert weakness I have that I will just never pass up when it’s in front of me (except for chocolate – I hate chocolate ice cream – because I’m weird).
I love experimenting with milkshake recipes in my kitchen. As long as you have the proportions right so that the perfect milkshake thickness is there, you can make a million different delicious milkshake creations. This Banana Split Milkshake if my new obsession and is giving this Peanut Butter Cup Oreo Milkshake a run for it’s money. It tastes just like a banana split ice cream sundae, only you can sip this one with a straw. Add sprinkles on top for some extra fun (I was too much in a hurry to devour this).
Enjoy this amazing banana split milkshake!
- 2 Cups good quality vanilla ice cream
- 1 banana, sliced
- ½ Cup milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Hot fudge, maraschino cherry and whipped cream, for topping
- Sprinkles, for topping (optional)
- Add the ice cream, banana, vanilla, and milk to a blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Top with hot fudge, whipped cream, cherry and slice of banana. Add sprinkles, if desired. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
This looks super delicious. I´m like you, chocolate ice cream is my least favorite. I prefer caramel by far. My husband on the other hand always chooses chocolate – boring! lol
Oh my gosh that looks delicious. I NEED to make this! P.S. I guess I am weird too – I don’t like chocolate ice cream either 🙂
My blender has been getting quite the workout this summer. Looks like it needs a bit more exercise so I can make this!
HOLYCRAP. This is amazing!!
My hubby would love this…and ice cream is definitely one of my biggest “weaknesses”. This looks so good with all that hot fudge oozing down. Gotta have hot fudge!
I ‘ve drooling over this since I saw it on FB – I am lactose intolerant but I’m willing to risk clearing a room for a taste of this! YUM!
you say add whipped cream to the blender and blend but don’t say how much to put in or whether or not it should be whipped. – can you use cool whip? thanks
Sorry! That was supposed to say Vanilla! I fixed it. Whipped cream is only for topping it off 🙂
I’m actually more of a chocolate ice cream fan but that isn’t going to stop me from making this decadent treat!
ohmagooooooodness this looks so tasty and refreshing and deeeelicious!
my favorite time of the year is ice cream season!
I am drooling over these pictures!! I like chocolate and vanilla, I don;t discriminate 🙂
You hate chocolate ice cream? How can we even be friends? haha 😉 I suppose I’ll let it slide since you did make these Banana Split Milkshakes! Ps. I shared this on my facebook yesterday because it just looked fantastic!
I can never resist ice cream either! Who can? No one normal. 😉 Love a banana split, and even more like the idea of a banana split milkshake. Very creative! Thanks.

Love this – what a fantastic presentation! I actually like the taste of banana but not so much the texture, so this is a perfect solution!
