The best and very easy recipe for the popular cocktail and my personal favorite, the Piña Colada!
What better time to post a tropical drink on my blog than when I’m spending time in Honolulu, Hawaii?! This place is truly paradise! This is a perfect Piña Colada, and believe me, I’ve tried many versions. The coconut milk and cream of coconut make it extremely creamy and the fresh pineapple gives it the right balance of flavor and fresh taste. This will be sure to be a hit for your 4th of July party and is so much better than using the pre-made mix! Your guests will be so impressed. I honestly don’t think I can ever go back to using the store-bought mix again after making it this way.
You can make this drink in larger batches for a party, or you can make them individually, one at a time as needed.
Note: add more rum for a stronger drink, this one is a little on the weak side (so if that’s your preference, keep it the way it’s written).
I haven’t had a pina colada in a million years, but it was one of my favorite drinks when I was younger. Anything with coconut & pineapple, and I’m all over it! Pinning. 🙂
These are a few of my favorite things: cooking, baking, Broadway musicals, cruises, Disney World, Christmas, storms, 80's and country music, and my favorite pastime has always been baseball. Go Yankees!
Mmm I love Piña Colada, and your version sounds unreal!! Enjoy your time in Hawaii! 🙂
I agree – there is nothing like a nice tropical drink while visiting paradise (Hawaii)!
I need one of these for summer.. and by 1 I mean a pitcher full..lol Looks delicious!! xoxo
Such a great drink! We have these maybe twice a year, and haven’t had one yet this summer. Thanks for the reminder!
I I haven’t had a pina colada in years. It looks perfect! Drink one for me, k? Your pictures of Hawaii are gorgeous, btw!
So while I’ve certainly had my fair share of pina coladas I’ve never made them at home! Love this!
This sounds absolutely delicious Ashley. Definitely saving this…Pinning
I am pining a little for your pina colada, a fave drink of mine 😀

I used to hate coconut but Pina Coladas made me fall in love with it 🙂
Pina Colada is one of my all time favorite drinks. It looks to me like you ‘did good’ with this
recipe. It’s a girly drink, but so what Baby.
I’d love a glass (or three) of this right now! Happy 4th!
I haven’t had a Pina Colada in years – but I love them – so I could definitely go for this!
refreshing sip…we can enjoy it any time, any season with a smile 🙂
I hate drinks made with that premade mix. They taste so strange. This sounds fabulous! I hope you’re enjoying Hawaii (I’m sure you are!)
This reminds me of the pina coladas that I had in Hawaii. I’ll have to make this and close my eyes to imagine I’m back there. 🙂
