Maple Apple Butter Milkshakes
Just a blended mixture of Maple Cheesecake ice cream, milk, vanilla, and apple butter makes a simple and delicious milkshake for the fall.
Say hello to your little friend…AKA the new and best milkshake that has ever entered your life.
I whipped this up the other day when I realized that I had all of this leftover apple butter that I had made and didn’t want to see it just rotting away in my ‘fridge after all the hard work I put into it. There is only so much one can take of apple butter spread on crackers with cheese on top – and don’t get me wrong, that is a fabulous way to enjoy apple butter, but I need variety in my life as I’m sure you do, too. That’s where this milkshake comes in.
Perry’s Ice Cream sent me one of their brand new fall flavors for 2014 as I am part of their “Inside Scoopers” program (isn’t that such a fun name?). That flavor being this delicious Premium Maple Cheesecake ice cream that I used in these milkshakes. The Inside Scoopers program entitles me to early access of Perry’s new flavors and so much more – it’s pretty much the best! I’m proud to help get the word out on such a great company and great product. They are one of the largest ice cream producers in New York State and has always been a favorite of mine and my whole family since I was a kid. I am SO loving this new flavor – the graham cracker crumbs and maple syrup combined with the cheesecake flavor ice cream was just heaven in a bowl. I’m addicted to it!
I posted about this apple butter recipe a couple of weeks ago. If you missed it, or even if you didn’t, it’s definitely worth the revisit. It’s really good stuff. It was so, so, SO easy to make – it just takes a bit of time – and it’s so versatile. There’s no actual butter in it, it’s just a “carmel-ey” apple spread that you can I’m sure find many uses for this fall. Definitely check it out! Oh, and make these milkshakes with it when you’re done.
- 2 cups Perry's Maple Cheesecake ice cream (can just use Vanilla or another flavor of choice)
- 1¼ cups milk
- ¾ cup apple butter, plus more for drizzling on top
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- whipped cream, for topping
- Combine all ingredients together in a blender and puree until smooth.
These look like the perfect way to usher in October! YUM!
So simple, but oh-so-right. Maple Cheesecake Ice Cream? Be still my heart! Plus, apple butter is one of my fave things in the world. So yeah, I need this in my life.
Oh my goodness. I am dying over this! Perfect fall milkshake!
Maple cheesecake ice cream?!?! Why, oh why, don’t we have this around us? This sounds AMAZING! And your milkshake sounds so decadent – I sure could use one right now (at 9am… ha!).
I need to find that ice cream and totally enjoy one of these milkshakes! They’ll bring all the boys to the yard!
Ashley, I love your designation/title with Perry’s Ice cream – being called an “inside scooper” is too cool – in my books! I belong to a church called 12Stone and we call ourselves Stoners…
🙂
Btw, love your use of apple butter in these – even a lactose free version would be yum!
Oh my gosh – this looks sssooo good. I’m loving that ice cream flavor and topped with apple butter – yes, please!

Squee! Want it, need it, must have it. You really took shakes to a whole new level.
Do you know that I have a ton of apple butter in my fridge that needs to used! Ahhhh making some of these tonight!
YES YES YES! My boyfriend would kill for one of these!
I need this ice cream in my life! This whole drink looks amazing.
I need this amazing milkshake in my life, like yesterday!! 🙂 It sounds crazy good!
Awww thanks!! It’s really good!
Another great use for your apple butter recipe. Sounds divine.
Thanks, Bam!! There’s so many things you can do with the apple butter, as you know 🙂
This sounds amazing, Ashley! I’m a die-hard chocolate milkshake fan, but I’d make an exception for this! 🙂
Did you say maple cheesecake ice cream? OMG! And then you went and turned it into a milkshake. Forget that it’s 63 in my house right now (in my head summer’s not over and I refuse to turn on the heat), I want one of these.
