Slow Cooker Cinnamon Sugar Almonds
Crunchy, cinnamon-sugared almonds made right in the crock pot are a spectacular treat to bring to a party or give away as gifts to your friends and family for Christmas.
Oh do I have a treat for you today or what! These cinnamon sugar almonds were a HUGE hit at the get-together I brought them to a few weeks ago. I was surprised I even had any left to bring as I could not keep my hand out of the bowl. These taste like candy and are dangerously addictive!
I had the privilege of meeting my new friend Leigh Ann at a holiday culinary event down in Wooster, Ohio a couple of weeks ago. When she asked me to participate in a fun holiday series on her blog called “Bake, Craft, Sew” I jumped at the opportunity. It was requested that I come up with a fun food idea/recipe that is perfect for giving away to family and friends around the holidays. I knew right away that I was going to make these candied almonds. Food is the best kind of gift to receive around the holidays, and what is better than something sweet, crunchy and delicious? You can make a huge batch of these at once and divide them up to give out….OR keep them all to yourself…your choice. I decided that these are healthy since they are almonds 😉
Head on over to Leigh Ann’s page at Your HomeBased Mom and get the recipe!
- 1¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1¼ cup brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
- ⅛ tsp. salt
- 1 egg white (from large egg)
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 cups raw unsalted almonds
- ¼ cup water

Oh noooooo I would NEVER be able to have these in my house! Between my boyfriend and I, we would annihilate the entire batch in less than a day.
These look great. I have a question, could you use any other nuts like pecans or walnuts maybe pistachios? Thanks.
Sure can!!
They look fantastic and totally addicting !!
Ashley – thank you for co-hosting this ahhhh-mazing giveaway!!!
And thanks for the recipe for these cinnamon sugar almonds – they sound like a perfect gift and a dangerous addiction!
ooooooh! One of my fave smells from NYC is the sweet roasted nuts and I bet these make your house smell just like that!
What a delicious treat to make for the holiday and I love that they’re done in the slow cooker! Fantastic!
I would have never thought of using a slow cooker to make this recipe. I like the technique.
I had no idea that you could do this in the crock pot. Very cool!
Yeah, I would never be able to keep my mitts off these! Oh, please tell me they smell like the nut stands at fairs and during the holidays…that’s a blissful scent to me, so nostalgic. These are definitely getting made sometime during the holiday season.
Wow! I didn’t know you could put almonds in the crock pot and make them all sugary and yummy like this!
Damn delicious almond sweet bites!!!
What a genius idea! I’ve done something similar in the oven, but I love the idea of using a slow cooker instead – just set it and forget it, right? 🙂 I bet these would make a fantastic gift for the holidays.
Sugar almonds are my much loved snacks 😀
Delicious recipe!
Cheers

These are dangerous!! I’d probably eat them straight out of the slow cooker. Then my peeps would be mad at me, but well… Who cares!! Hopping on over for the recipe! These would make a perfect addition to the holiday box I give my kids tteachers.
What a great giveaway Ashley! I don’t have a Blendtec, but I’ve heard so much about them – it makes me want one. And, I love the recipe! I love snackable things like this!
I love making sugared nuts but have never thought to do it in a crockpot! Genius!
