Carrot Banana Pineapple Smoothie
A great tasting healthy smoothie made with fruits and vegetables. This smoothie recipe is so tasty that kids (or adults) will not even know it’s good for them.
I thought sharing a healthy smoothie/drink recipe was totally appropriate today as I’m in the midst of attempt #3 at a juicing cleanse. I tell you, I am not cut out for this. Especially since my blogging “job” entails hours a day staring at food pictures and/or reading about food in one form or another. So this is me being selfish and posting something where it’s not absolute torture to write about or look at 🙂 Need. Solid. Food. Now. Seriously though, I’m really hoping I can do it this time. Day 1 is complete and I’m not feeling uncontrollably hungry yet. In the past, I haven’t been able to go longer than one day. #willpower.
This healthy and refreshing smoothie drink is super delicious any time, but I definitely thought it made for a great energy boost in the afternoon! Don’t let the orange color fool you if that’s not your thing (personally, I like crazy-colored drinks) – this particular smoothie tastes sweet and not like vegetables at all!
Tasty, healthy & delicious. Enjoy!
- 1 cup chopped fresh pineapple
- ½ cup ice
- ½ cup orange juice
- ¼ cup chopped/shredded carrot
- ½ large banana
- Place the pineapple, ice, orange juice, carrot, and banana in a blender.
- Blend until smooth and frothy. Add more juice if too thick.
I love this smoothie so much. So healthy and I know my boys would love one!
What a great way to incorporate veggies into a beautiful fruit smoothie! I can’t get my daughter to eat carrots at home, so this might be the best way to do it!
You are inspiring me to do a cleanse, perfect timing in the summer, looks really delicious! Nettie
Oh this smoothie sounds wonderful – a ripe pineapple and banana together are incredible – adding a carrot to the mix is just brilliant! Congrats for making it thru one whole day of a juice cleanse!
Wow! This smoothie looks right up my alley! I haven’t done much with adding carrots to my smoothies but I will have to try this one! Pinning! Good luck on your cleanse! I will be cheering you on from the blogosphere 🙂
sounds like a delicious combination
Sounds delicious and I truly understand.I not only got out-of-shape, I now have health problems that have put me on a varied but strict diet at least, for the time being.ALL THE DELICIOUS FOOD! Hang in there, Ashley!
I’ve never put carrot in a smoothie. Now I have to!
What a great combo of flavor in this smoothie! Very healthy, and very tasty sounding. Thanks for this.
Interesting combo of flavors! Sounds very healthy!
A great way to start the day!

Can’t beat a good smoothie! Love these flavors
Good luck with the juice cleanse!! I don’t think I could do it – so I’m impressed you made it a day!! This smoothie looks delicious – love that you snuck some carrot in!
I love that this is probably super sweet but still nutritious. Yum!
Good luck on your food cleanse diet. I know how you feel about solid foods so need that whole chewing thing to feel satisfied. Great little smoothie and I bet it was tasty. Take Care, BAM
I love smoothies! Does the fruit hide the carrot taste for the most part?
It does!
Such a great idea to have more veggies! I already love coconut and pineapple smoothie so I bet adding carrots will not make a huge taste difference. Thanks for the idea!
I love carrot juice in a smoothie, this looks só refreshing!! xoxo
I could never do a juice cleanse. I try to focus on eating healthy the vast majority of the time so I don’t feel like I have to do a cleanse. Because passing out is just not fun. But I wish you luck and would totally love this smoothie. Yum! Yum!
Love a healthy AND delicious smoothie! Sounds refreshing!
Yum, this smoothie looks so healthy and delicious! I love the carrots and that pretty color.
I love carrot smoothies!
Ashley, I LOVE the color of this drink, but then orange is my favorite color. 🙂 And I’ve tried a juicing cleanse before, and I have to admit I wasn’t very successful. But, that is not going to stop me from adding this to my smoothie list. Pinned!
Thank you so much Kristi! And extra thanks for the pin! 🙂
Looks really healthy and refreshing,
unfortunately i’m allergic with pinneaple, so i’ll omit it
Good luck with your juicing! Love the color of this smoothie! Carrots must give it a great flavor.

YUM! This looks AMAZING! So refreshing and delicious!! Love it! I have been craving a fresh fruit smoothie for so long now! Can’t wait to make some! Looks like this is a great one! 🙂
I never really thought to add a carrot in a smoothie but now it sounds perfect! With a bunch of carrots in the garden being picked right now this has to happen!
LOVE this! I stumbled and pinned! 🙂
Good luck with the juice cleanse, Ashley! This healthy smoothie sounds wonderful and so refreshing! I love that you added carrots in here – I’ve never done that and can’t wait to try it next time 🙂
I’m starting a cleanse and can have everything in this recipe, except the orange juice. Could I sub with water? Or blend one serving of an actual orange/ mandarian orange instead?
Hi Nicole! You can use any liquid! Water would work…or coconut water maybe?
