Frito Candy recipe is a creamy, gooey base of peanut butter candy gets tossed with salty Fritos for a fabulous treat for Christmas.  You will drizzle them with chocolate and top them with sprinkles and they are perfect for a holiday dessert tray or gifting.

  • In a large pot add the sugar, corn syrup and peanut butter (organic will be too oily).
  • Stir to combine and cook over medium heat until it comes to a light boil and everything is incorporated.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the Fritos/corn chips, you want to gently toss them and just get them all lightly coated without crushing them.
  • Spoon them out onto a parchment lined baking tray.
  • You can make these as big or little as you like but I like to make them about 2 tablespoons worth.
  • Let them set up for about 30 minutes.
  • Meanwhile in a microwave safe bowl melt the chocolate in 30 second intervals until smooth and melted.
  • Using a fork drizzle the chocolate over the candies.
  • Top with sprinkles if desired.
  • Serve once cooled completely. Enjoy!

Notes

Tips and Tricks
  • Store these in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
  • You can use chunky non-organic peanut butter for an extra crunch.
  • You can add as much chocolate drizzle as you prefer
  • You can use the larger scoop Fritos or corn chips if you prefer.
