Notes

Tips:
You can use green shredded paper to start off or you can even use shredded coconut and dye it green. This is to just make it more festive but absolutely not necessary. Making colored shredded coconut- Add shredded coconut to a Ziplock bag, add green food coloring and shake the bag. Dyed coconut will stay good in a sealed container up to 3 weeks.
I always try to use as much food products I can to create ways to showcase different candies on the boards. For this board I used the dessert shells as a bird's nest. I then added a few almond slices and then topped with the famous Easter Robin Malted Chocolate Eggs. Something so small like this can really make a big statement and will make your board amazing.
If your local grocery store does not carry frosted sugar cookies you can easily get plain sugar cookies, a container of frosting and make the frosting any color you are wanting to create. This is a fun, quick, and easy way to make sure your cookies match your theme at a low cost.
Think outside of just Easter candy or even looking in the Holiday aisle at your local grocery store. Try thinking of a color theme first, with Easter being more pastel colors you then can stroll down the cookie aisle or even the candy aisle and grab items that match the color theme you are shooting for.
Where can you find large platters or trays? You usually can find some great trays at Target, Walmart, HomeGoods, or even a party supply store. I have also been able to find some unique trays at thrift stores. You can easily use a large cookie sheet and add parchment paper down first for easy clean up.
