Sip on my Patriotic Sangria recipe this summer to enjoy a cocktail while beating the heat at the same time! With fresh blueberries, strawberries, white grape juice, brandy, and wine, it's perfect for Flag Day, 4th of July or Memorial Day!
Recipe type: Drink
Cuisine: Mexican
Serves: 6
  • 1 ½ cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 honeydew melon, sliced and cut into stars, if preferred
  • 1 cup white grape Juice, chilled
  • ⅓ cup brandy
  • 1 750ml bottle of dry white wine, chilled
  1. In a large glass jug or pitcher, combine the fruit, grape juice and brandy.
  2. Pour in the white wine and gently stir to combine
  3. Serve chilled as is or over ice. Enjoy!
  1. Serving over ice will dilute the sangria
  2. Can be stored in the fridge for 2 days
  3. For a drier sangria, substitute club soda for the white grape juice
  4. You can adjust ingredient quantities to suit your taste (a bit less brandy, etc.)
  5. You will need a small star shaped cookie cutter to cut out the melon into stars if you choose to do that. Make sure to slice the melon into thin enough slices to make it easy to use the star cutter.
