Easy Fried Apples are fresh apple wedges cooked up in butter, sugar and cinnamon until soft and browned. An easy side dish for Thanksgiving or dessert option for the fall that everyone raves about!

Ingredients
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 5-6 cups apples, cleaned, peeled, cored and cut into slices about ¼ inch thick (Granny Smith or Braeburn apples work well)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon allspice
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
Instructions
  1. Clean, peel, core and slice apples
  2. Melt butter in cast iron skillet or dutch oven
  3. Add brown sugar and spices and stir to combine
  4. Add apples and cook until tender
  5. Serve warm or room temperature
  6. Store leftovers in fridge
