Ingredients
  • 2 Certified Angus Beef® strip steaks
  • Salt & pepper
Herb Compound Butter:
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter, softened to room temperature
  • ½ TBSP minced garlic
  • 1 TBSP fresh thyme
  • ½ TBSP fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
Strip Steaks:
  1. Preheat your grill to high heat.
  2. Take the steak out of the fridge for at least 30 minutes to take the chill off.
  3. Season your steaks with salt and pepper.
  4. Grill the steaks until medium-rare (or to your liking), approx. 3-4 minutes per side, and then remove from the heat, tent with foil, and keep warm. (You can also saute them in a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat if you don't have a grill or weather doesn't cooperate.)
Herb Compound Butter:
  1. Dice thyme leaves.
  2. Mix together the softened butter with the thyme.
  3. Add in minced garlic, lemon juice, salt & pepper.
  4. Stir until well incorporated.
  5. Place butter mixture onto some plastic wrap and wrap into a log form.
  6. Refrigerate until hard. Cut into slices and add on top of your warm steaks. Enjoy!
