Ingredients
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper (white or black)
  • 2 (5.6-ounce) packages refrigerated Yaki-Soba, seasoning sauce packets discarded (found in the produce section of the grocery store)
  • 8 ounces cooked boneless chicken breasts, sliced thin
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium yellow or white onion, sliced thin
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped diagonally
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, garlic, brown sugar, ginger and pepper; set aside.
  2. In a large pot of boiling water, add Yaki-Soba until loosened, about 1-2 minutes; drain well.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add onion and celery, and saute, stirring often, until soft and transparent, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in cabbage and cooked chicken and saute until heated through, about 3 minutes.
  4. Stir in Yaki-Soba and soy sauce mixture and toss until well combined and the noodles are heated through, about 2 minutes.
  5. Serve immediately.
